Hi everyone, my name is Rachel Balcerak. I am a Pre-Professional Biology Major and I plan to graduate in fall 2020. After graduation, I want to move on to PA school. Aside from my studies, I enjoy keeping active, spending time with friends, and trying new things. I was born and raised in Wisconsin so of course I am a die-hard Packers fan and I love cheese. I am really excited to be part of the Blood Drive Committee, and I look forward to working with everyone at the drives!

Hey guys! My name is Asad Chowdhry and I am elated to be working as your Sergeant-at-Arms! A couple of things about me, I am a Biology major with minors in Psychology and Neuroscience. Hello! I am Jorge Carrera and I am a Biology major and Neuroscience minor. My immediate goal is to become a doctor, and my ultimate goal is to become a professor at a medical school. I was born in Las Vegas, but I spent some years in California. As for hobbies, I love board games, Dungeons and Dragons, reading, and photography. I am nearing two years participating in cat clinics, and it amazes me how much I still learn and how much of an impact we make. Regardless of your career goals, everyone is welcome to cat clinics and I hope everyone takes the opportunity.

Hey everyone! My name is Chris Williams and I am a member of the Professional Development Committee. I am a Pre-Med Biology major with a former Japanese minor and will be attending UNLV medical school in the fall of 2020! When I’m not doing work or studying, I’m spending time with my amazing girlfriend, obsessing over Lotad and other Pokemon stuff, playing video games, or looking at sneakers to buy hehe. The path to get accepted is a tedious process and I want to help anybody out in this clown fiesta of a journey, so please feel free to ask questions if you need help or advice!

Hi AED! My name is Kaman Chen, and I am a Psychology Major with a Biology Minor and a Neuroscience Minor. I love teeth, hence my dream and goal is to become a general dentist. Besides my passion for dentistry, I am very interested in Social Psychology, which is why I chose to become a member of this committee. I want to be able to help everyone feel comfortable with themselves and with those around them. Outside of the school life, I am a hardcore otaku, makeup lover, food admirer, and a nail art enthusiast. Hello! My name is Sophia Goergi. I am a junior who will receive my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Neuroscience in Fall 2019. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I aspire to go to medical school to become either a Pediatrician or surgeon (mainly because I watch too much Grey’s Anatomy). I joined the Wellness Committee because I am a firm believer that one’s mental health should be just as important, if not more important than, class work. In my free time I like to go to Disneyland, take my dogs to the dog park, and make plans to go to the gym without actually following through on them.

Hey AED! I’m Nicole Burton and am majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Neuroscience. I am fluent in Spanish. Once I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan on attending medical school. When I’m not studying, I enjoy napping and stuffing my face with French fries. I’m always open to food recommendations and if you see me on campus, feel free to say hi!

Hi guys! My name is Sandy Haneefzai and I am a Biology major with a minor in History. I am expected to graduate in 2020 and I plan to apply to medical school. My family moved to Las Vegas from California when I was a baby and we have been here ever since. Both my parents are from Afghanistan so I am able to speak their native language, Pashto. In my free time I enjoy binge watching shows and napping. I also spend more time than I should reading about random historical figures. Feel free to contact me anytime!

Hey AED! My name is Genesis Leon and I’m a senior majoring in Pre-Professional Biology with a minor in Neuroscience. I graduate spring 2019 and hope to attend medical school after a gap year. When I’m not stressing about all of that, I like to relax and watch Netflix like Narcos, Stranger Things, etc. I also really enjoy working out with kettlebells, cooking/meal prepping, and hiking. I hope to branch out of my comfort zone and travel to new places during my gap year. I’m excited to become a part of this committee and look forward to seeing you at events!

Hi everyone! My name is Jenny Navoa and I am a senior majoring in Pre-Professional Biology with a minor in Neuroscience. I will be graduating Fall 2019 and hopefully going to medical school after. Some fun facts about me are that I love singing and musical theatre and I love traveling around the world. I am also a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Hello everyone. My name is Zarin Hoque and I’m majoring in Biology with a minor in Global Entrepreneurship. After I graduate, I plan on attending medical school. I was born in Reno, but I have lived in Las Vegas for most of my life. In my free time I like to bake, take long walks, listen to music, go on adventures, and eat chocolate. I’m not much of a t.v. or movie person, but I enjoy watching documentaries and reading different books. One fun fact about me: I love stuffed animals!
