Hey everyone, my name is Daniel Samora. I’m pre-med, and like most of you guys, a biology major tentatively graduating in the spring of 2015. When I’m not doing school related activities, I like to go mountain biking, lift weights, and play video games. Although the fundraising events are a lot of work, my favorite part of each event is when we are done and we get to eat some awesome stadium food.
Hi Everyone! My name is Rudy and I am a junior majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Psychology in order to pursue medical school and a long life career as a cardio-thoracic surgeon. Hi, my name is Halley Darwin. I am a Pre-Professional Biology Major, and I either want to pursue becoming a dentist or a doctor. Aside from school I like to spend quality time with family and friends, go to concerts, eat out, learn about different cultures, and occasionally attend Zumba classes. I want to contribute to a club culture that strives for excellence in everything we do together, so that way, we may be steps closer to accomplishing our goals in becoming quality, future healthcare providers. Feel free to ask me any questions or say hi if you see me around campus!!
Hello, AED members. My name is Sara Bigelow. Before coming to UNLV, I taught mathematics in California and Nevada. Acfter five years of teaching high school, I had decided I wanted and could do more for my community and attended UNLV to complete my prerequisites for medical school. I will be attending medical school this Fall, in the mean time I look forward to seeing people at meetings, fundraising events and humanitarian events and having a great last semester with AED!
Hey fellow AED members! I’m Brianna, and I’ll be one of the chairs for the Fundraising committee! I’m a Biochemistry major with minors in Psychology and Biology, aspiring to go to medical school to become a doctor one day. Outside of the school setting, I love to go on (what I consider) adventures with my friends like visiting new restaurants or exploring parks, but I also enjoy staying in for game nights or to simply talk and relax. I’ve recently picked up playing the guitar and I love to sing, so you’ll likely see me jamming out in my car if you ever see me drive by. I look forward to getting to know more about you guys, too, so please come talk to me at the next AED event!

Jithil (JT) Tharayil
Hi! My name is JT Tharayil and interestingly enough I’m a Biology major who wants to go medical school. I love watching movies and TV shows, with Fargo being my favorite movie and Parks and Recreation being my favorite TV series. I’m also a huge football fan (go Giants!), The Shins are my favorite band, and occasionally I like to study for my classes. I dislike plants. I think science and medicine are so cool and it’s great to be part of a committee that lets me convey that to high school students. If you have any questions about the Educational Outreach Committee or if you’d like to contemplate the meaning of life with me, come say hi!

Hello AED! My name is Sabrina and I am a double major in biology and psychology with a minor in neuroscience. My aspiration is to go to medical school after graduating in Spring 2018! I am a lover of small dogs, scenic views, corny jokes, Thai food, and tomato juice on airplanes (it just tastes better haha). Prior to joining the educational outreach committee I was humanitarian committee chair. I am passionate about serving our community and both committees have allowed me to do the type of outreach and volunteering that I enjoy! Feel free to approach me if you have any questions about EOC or just want to say hi- I love talking to people and I’m barely even 4’9 so I’m basically never scary or intimidating (hahaha!!).
