Hey AED! My name is Cecil Babul and I’m a biology graduate with minors in both psychology & neuroscience. I’m currently in a post-baccalaureate year in preparation and hopes of attending medical school. I’m a first-generation American while the rest of my family is from Bangladesh. I love playing basketball and staying involved in community volunteer events. I hope to serve my role in the PDC to the best of my ability to help you accomplish your goals of attending professional school. Hello! My name is Deanna, a Pre-Professional Biology student with a Neuroscience minor. In my free time, I enjoy playing violin, eating dessert, and painting. All-You-Can-Eat sushi is one of my many passions. As a part of AED’s Professional Development Committee, it is my goal to help members prepare for their future working endeavors by sharpening interpersonal skills, hosting interviews, and polishing other vital components for professional school applications. Hey, AED! My name is Amber Rivera and I’m a pre-professional biology major with hopes of becoming a doctor one day. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Las Vegas when I was only five years old. Aside from school and studying, I enjoy shopping (especially online shopping), early morning hikes at Red Rock, playing soccer, and snowboarding; it’s safe to say that I am a very active person. I’m extremely thrilled to be apart of the Professional Development Committee, and cannot wait to meet everyone at our future PDC events!

I am planning on continuing on to Optometry school to become an Optometrist either with my own practice or under a hospital. I am from Hawaii and enjoy being outdoors and doing activities such as hiking, surfing, etc. I also love indulging in korean dramas and anime if I have the time. Hello everyone! My name is Kirsten Alsua & I am a pre-professional Biology Major with a Minor in Neuroscience. My ultimate goal is to attend medical school & become a physician in the dermatology field. When I’m not living in the Lied Library, I am either with my family or eating out. I work on campus as a Supplemental Instructor for General Chemistry! My creative outlet includes being a freelance makeup artist & it has made me fall in love with the concept of transformation. My love for transformation has led me to become a Fitness Instructor and Trufusion Summerlin! I truly enjoy working with and aiding in the growth of an array of unique individuals. I am bilingual, my first language is Arabic and my second is English. Outside of school, I like to watch movies, play sports (Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball), and spend time with friends and family. When I’m not camping out in the library or eating copious amounts of SOHO, you can catch me working the front desk at the sciences advising center. I love spending time with friends and family, playing Animal Crossing, and curating an obnoxious amount of Spotify playlists. I am also a coffee and boba fiend, so if anyone would like to grab something to drink and debate about the best coffee/boba places, I’m game!

Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie Melrose and I am a fourth-year student majoring in psychology with a minor in biology. I plan on graduating in spring 2021 and attend physician assistant school thereafter. In my free time, I love to travel to new countries, workout and cook new recipes. Like many other college students, I am a coffee fanatic so I love trying out all of the different coffee shops around Las Vegas. I am excited to be a part of the Dental Committee as I feel as though proper dental hygiene is very important to maintain and I love sharing my knowledge with others in need.
