AED UNLV's Second Bone Marrow Drive

The Bone Marrow Committee is partnered with the non-profit organization Gift of Life Marrow Registry to educate the community about our mission and add members into the Gift of Life Bone Marrow registry. Our committees mission is to clear up any misconceptions and inform the community about how Bone Marrow provides a simple and alternative treatments to battle bloodborne diseases such as Leukemia. By being added into the Bone Marrow registry, you will have the possibility to match with someone who is currently suffering from bloodbourne diseases. The likelihood of matching is approximately 0.06%. Therefore, Gift of Life is working to add as many people into the registry to increase those odds of helping increase the life or possibly cure someone who is suffering by providing alternative treatments of a simple blood draw of your peripheral STEM cells instead of harsh treatments such as chemotherapy. If reached out to, it is at YOUR discretion to choose whether you would like to donate or not. However, at these drives, we will simply be educating and adding people into the registry by filling out a quick questionaire and swabbing your cheek cells with swab kits. 

AED members who register will obtain 2 hours of Service (Can only register once)

For every friend you recommend and register you will receive 1 hour (no limit as to how many people you can refer)
