Officer Responsibilities

Have knowledge about the process of bone marrow donation (a handbook will be given to you).

Have knowledge about the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation.

Know how to properly swab others using a swabbing kit and how to properly use mobile registration.

Speak to and answer questions from people getting swabbed and volunteers.

Manage and train volunteers on how to properly use a swabbing kit and using mobile registration.

Advertise and recruit people passing by to join the registry.

Know how to navigate the AED website in order to post events and announcements.

Be active and present at all drives.
Officer Rules

Officers must be present at all drives.

Officers must lead a shift during each drive.

You are responsible for recruiting people to the table since the volunteers will only know how to swab. Officers should not be sitting during drives; they should be the most active amongst the group since they will be recruiting students passing by.

Officers must stay on the committee for a minimum of one semester. If an officer is not fulfilling the responsibilities expected of them, they will be asked to re-interview for the position or will removed from the committee.
