About the event
Through the power of sports, Special Olympics helps people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills, and success. Their athletes find joy, confidence, and fulfillment — on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.
On Saturday, March 11th from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Special Olympics will be hosting their Basketball Regional at Cheyenne High School. In this event, volunteers will be involved in keeping scores, cheering on the athletes, handing them water, setting up the event, and more!
- Volunteers are now required to sign up prior to the event (Lunch is provided to those who sign up by February 25th). Please RSVP to this event and you will receive a copy of the registration link- spots are limited!
- Once registered, please forward a copy of your registration to the officer-in-charge - KayLee @ freitk1@unlv.nevada.edu
- Dress code: includes closed-toe shoes and an AED shirt (or a solid-grey shirt). Shorts are allowed.
- As always, all humanitarian policies will apply! Please arrive 10-15 minutes early!
