Dear Pharmacy School Partners & Students,
On behalf of Roseman University College of Pharmacy and CVS Health Spanish Pathway Program, I am excited to announce that we will have Dr. Sandra Leal, Vice President, Pharmacy Practice Innovation and Advocacy, CVS Health and Immediate Past President, American Pharmacists Association join us for a presentation on Tuesday, April 11th, from 3-4PM PT/4-5PM MT. The presentation will be held on the Henderson Campus, with an option for you to connect virtually. Dr. Sandra Leal will share her pharmacy career pathway, the importance of pharmacy advocacy, and how to develop your professional identity!
Following Dr. Leal’s presentation, Roseman University College of Pharmacy Admissions Office will have a short session to talk about our 3 year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, requirements, and answer any questions you may have. This will be an opportunity to connect with our students and also tour our campus. All current students, faculty, staff, and pre-health professional students are invited to attend. Dr. Sandra Leal, Vice President, Pharmacy Practice Innovation and Advocacy, CVS Health
Dr. Sandra Leal is the Vice President of Pharmacy Practice Innovation and Advocacy responsible for launching innovative healthcare initiatives to enable pharmacy health services. Dr. Leal joined CVS Health as Vice President for Clinical Strategy and Collaborative Innovation with Aetna, Medical Affairs in 2021.
Before CVS Heath, Dr. Leal has held various positions in the health care industry ranging from public health clinician, medical director, President of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved, the National Center for Farmworker Health, and the American Pharmacist Association. Her most recent position was as Chief Executive Officer for SinfoniaRx and Executive Vice President for Tabula Rasa HealthCare.
Dr. Leal received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado and here Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts. She completed a residency at the VA in Southern Arizona and a Primary Care Policy Fellowship with the Department of Health and Human Services.
