LVNHM Trainer Fest

The Las Vegas Natural History Museum (LVNHM) has invited us to help volunteer at their back to school event! The Trainer Fest's goal is to teach guests about the real animals that inspired Pokemon. They will have S.T.E.M based activities that will encourage hands-on learning to guests. Please sign up by August 24 at 11:59pm.

Volunteer Shifts 

You are able to sign up for different volunteering shifts. Below is an example of the opportunities available; hours can be adjusted as needed. A 30-minute break is available for 3+ hour shifts. Feel free to bring any drinks or snacks for your shift. There will be a break room, refrigerator and soda vending machine on the property. Please email Jeremy Batu at batuj2@unlv.nevada.edu which volunteer shift you are able to do or use this SignUpGenius link to select a volunteer shift with your name followed by AED.

Full Shift 

10 am- 3 pm (5 hours) 

Half Shifts

9 am-12 pm (3 hours) 

11 am-2 pm (3  hours) 

1 pm-3 pm (2 hours) 

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time of the event. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will only receive half credit for your humanitarian hours for this event. You must sign in and out with us during the event to receive credit. If you have joined and need to cancel for any reason, please cancel at least 72 hours before the event or you will be penalized -3 hours. Also, please wear your AED t-shirt with pants and closed toed shoes. You can also dress up with Pokemon themed attire!
